Jenny Lake

Situated by the lake of the same name, Jenny was the Shoshone wife of Dick Leigh, a trapper and guide for the Hayden Geological Survey Expedition of 1871. The town has become an amenity village for travelers. The Jenny Lake Ranger Station is a required stopover for climbers, who must register before entering either Teton or Yellowstone Parks.
